PUBLIC HOSPITAL PRICES
Public hospital prices
Examinations and treatments at Shanghai public hospitals, with official price references
Government-set maximum tariffs help you understand examination costs. Hospitals may charge less; actual charges are not necessarily identical.
Scope: basic medical services at Shanghai tertiary public hospitals. These tariffs do not automatically apply to international departments, premium services or private hospitals; confirm their prices separately. All amounts are in CNY and are maximum tariffs, not treatment-package totals.

Understanding what the price covers
A region does not mean the whole body. Trunk PET-CT covers the skull base to the mid-upper thighs; whole-body PET-CT covers head to feet.
When a single CT or MRI examination includes both non-contrast and contrast scans, the contrast examination tariff is charged once; the non-contrast scan is not billed again. Applicable add-ons, such as special imaging, are charged separately.
CT and MRI tariffs include the current CNY 5 adjustment. Where compliant digital image processing and upload/storage services cannot be provided, the applicable tariff is reduced by CNY 5.
Registration, other care and Zoying service fees are not included. The treating clinician determines whether an examination is appropriate; confirm actual charges against the hospital’s published tariffs and services provided.
